Meet the Farmers

  • 3amigos Farm

    Hablamos espanol! A 3-person team of 2nd-year farmers growing lettuce mix, collard greens, radishes, green onions, leeks, bell peppers, zucchini, dill, sweet potatoes, celeriac, beets, acorn squash, sunflowers and mushrooms.

  • Choua & Xou

    Choua, a teacher with the Hmong Charter School in St. Paul, looks forward to planting season in spring time each year. She and her husband, Xou, found out about Minnesota Food Association (MFA) through the Hmong American Partnership (HAP) at a workshop in 2016, and in 2017 enrolled in the Organic Transitions program.

  • Kath Gardens

    Kath Gardens is a small farm located in Medford, MN. Kath Gardens is located on 10.5 acres, and roughly 1/2 of that acreage is under cultivation for vegetable production. The farm has been in operation for four seasons and all crops are grown using organic methods. Kath Gardens produce can be purchased at the seasonal farmstand in Medford or at local farmers markets in the area.

  • Lue and Kia

    A man with “a passion for the outdoors, the sun and the wind,” Lue has found his work at MFA to be very satisfying. His goals are to complete the training program at MFA and acquire his own farm, which will enable him “to give back” and contribute to community health as well as feed his own family. Every day, in pursuit of his dream, he is “up before the sun,” Lue’s son Houa reports. You have to “beat the heat,” says Lue, “if you love the land and work.

  • Mhonpaj's Garden

    Mhonpaj’s Garden is a 9-acre certified organic vegetable farm owned by May Lee and her daughter Mhonpaj. With 5 acres in Stillwater and 4 acres in Marine on St. Crox, May and her family grow a variety of vegetables, bedding plants and herbs

  • Moshky Farm & Gardens

    Seasonal, fresh, organic produce delivered weekly with a focus on Southern African crops. We grow unique varieties of greens, peppers, nuts, and more from Heather’s home country of Zimbabwe. We offer CSA shares including winter shares and cocktail shares.

  • Tuttie Fruitties

    Mission is to provide nutrition in a fun, inspiring, and easily accessible ways; which is healthy for the people, the plants, and the environment. Tuttie Fruitties, is excited to be launching the making and selling fresh seasonal juices made from organically grown produce.

  • Twin Cities Green Farm

    Twin Cities Green Farm specializes on growing Asian green such as bok choy, yu choy sum, Chinese broccoli, mustard green and Thai basil.
